Amazon’s new auto parts search engine makes finding auto parts easier

Amazon Australia has a new Search for auto partsa tool that allows customers to shop by vehicle and find parts and accessories made to fit their car.

Obviously there are many sources of auto parts online and Amazon may not have your part available or it may not be the cheapest source.

However, it’s always good to have more choices and if you already have an Amazon Prime subscription, this could be a good way to buy auto parts without paying extra for shipping.

Ian Bradley, Head of Automotive at Amazon Australia, said:

“Australians love to hit the road and explore the great outdoors. With the announcement of Automotive Part Finder on, we are excited to make it even more convenient for our customers to easily find the right parts and accessories for their vehicles. Not only can customers more easily purchase products for their car, but they can also easily purchase any other items they might need before they travel.

Part Finder matches a range of over 100,000 vehicle-specific products such as
wiper blades, bulbs, brake pads, filters and more, to a number of the most popular Australian cars of the last decade.

A study commissioned by Amazon Australia found that 43% of Australians plan to travel somewhere in Australia this winter, with those planning a road trip (31%) far outpacing those planning to fly within the country (12 %). While most Australians (83%) love taking road trips, 39% admit to feeling stressed about the preparation required.

Amazon’s auto parts finder can help reduce stress by making it easier for Australians to plan their road trip. Customers can now enter their vehicle’s make, model, year, series and engine type to browse products designed specifically for their car.

This tool will be particularly beneficial for the 21% of Australians who are prevented from doing their own basic maintenance because they don’t know which parts fit their car, and the 15% who don’t know where to look for parts.

Automotive Part Finder also allows customers to register multiple different vehicles in their own virtual Amazon garage to easily purchase vehicle-specific items on the spot.
