The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department said no one was available during the Memorial Day vacation to speak about the crash.

He is the second NFL player to die in a car accident in just over a month with Pittsburgh Steelers backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins killed when he was hit by a dump truck while that he was walking on a South Florida highway last month.

Gladney played at Texas Christian University (TCU) before becoming a 2020 NFL first-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings. He played 16 games that year but was released before the 2021 season when he was charged with assaulting a woman.

Gladney was found not guilty in Dallas County, Texas in March and was later signed by the Cardinals. He participated in team exercises last week.
