The festival season, which kicked off with Navratri on Monday and ends with Diwali on October 24, should please passenger vehicle (PV) manufacturers in more ways than one. Not only is it expected to be a record high in terms of volumes, but it will also see a rapid recovery in PV manufacturers’ profitability and bring it closer to pre-Covid levels, as the overall sales mix is boosted by rising sales of top-end finishes and a softening of raw material prices.
