Dealers Push Mahindra XUV700 Buyers To Buy Rs 50k Accessories

Here are the latest dealer quoted road prices for the Mahindra XUV700 along with some accessories. The XUV700 is launched in all its glory. Prices for the entire range are out. The mid-size SUV is ready to shake the whole segment. This applied to the 5-seater and 7-seater versions. This, in essence, challenges Creta, Seltos, Hector, Harrier, Alcazar, Safari, and Hector Plus. It’s an ambitious plan and we’ll have to wait and see how things play out for the midsize SUV segment, in general, and Mahindra XUV700, in particular. Some dealers are quoting bizarre prices for the Mahindra XUV700 while pushing for accessories with their own insurance policies. Here are the details of such a scenario.

Dealers push for Mahindra XUV700 accessories

This image clearly shows the exact quantity of each available variant of the Mahindra XUV700. As can also be seen from the image, the rates are from a Kerala dealership. The exact amounts include the Ex-showroom price, TCS, Insurance, Road tax, Fast Tag and Accessories. Basically, you don’t have much of a choice in this matter. You need to purchase the accessory pack and insurance from the dealership itself. Now this becomes a huge problem as one can easily get the same insurance coverage at 50% lower prices outside. Additionally, accessories may not appeal to everyone. But this dealer shoves it down your throat. It seems a little unfair. Customers are torn between buying insurance from the reseller or from outside as some resellers later reject cashless claims if the insurance is not purchased from them.

It becomes a critical issue for potential customers. Likewise, in the case of the petrol variants, the top finish is the AX7 AT which costs Rs 27.12 lakh, on the road. These are insane numbers and customers could have saved a tremendous amount of money if they didn’t take the dealership accessories and insurance. However, we’ll have to wait and see how other dealers across the country handle it. Official reservations will start from October 7th. Delivery dates will be announced on October 10, 2021.
