BENGALURU: A 36-year-old lawyer filed a lawsuit against 10 people, including staff at a car showroom near MG Road and the CEO of the New Delhi automaker, accusing them of trying to deliver to him a brand new dented and dented SUV. refusing to replace him.
Based on a complaint filed by Teju G Shankar, resident of Malleswaram, Cubbon Park Police Station registered an FIR against 10 people under Articles 406 of IPC (criminal breach of trust) 409 (abuse of criminal trust by an official, banker, merchant or agent) and 420 (deception and dishonest incitement to deliver goods).
Teju and her lawyer-husband Preetam Nelson D Costa said on August 19 that they visited the showroom and booked a car for Rs 13.9 lakh.

According to the couple, showroom officials emailed them saying they would replace the dented door panel with a new one.
“We refused to accept delivery of the SUV and demanded that a new vehicle of the same make be provided to us. We tweeted our request to the CEO, explaining the situation. Our vehicle is still in the showroom and they are not ready to deliver a new one. They remained in secret. We have called for legal action against the defendants, ”the couple said.
