Free2move brings mobility hub to the capital of Texas

AUSTIN, Texas –

After deploying to the Northwest earlier this year, Free2move brought its carsharing services to the Lone Star State on Wednesday.

The company has added Austin, Texas, to its list of mobility hubs. Austin residents can already see the Free2move fleet of 100 Jeep Renegade vehicles parked on the city streets.

And as of Wednesday, Free2move said Austin residents can book a Renegade through the Free2move app for minute, day and month rentals.

Free2move explained in a press release that it has prioritized Austin as a mobility hub through the city’s commitment to bringing additional mobility services to its community.

“Jeep Renegades’ Free2move fleet is perfect for local residents to use as part of their daily city transportation system and for visitors to Austin for the duration of their stay,” the company said.

“Free2move can be part of an incentive parking system and is just as convenient for weekend getaways to San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. With all the concerts and events going on in Austin, the need for transportation is endless, ”the company continued.

The Free2move Austin mobility hub will focus on:

• Carsharing and rental: With services ranging from a few minutes to seven days, users can access vehicles parked in the Free2move service area. Customers can leave the service area and suspend their trip, as long as the trip ends in the designated service area. Parking, gas and insurance are included.

• Car on demand: For a monthly subscription, without long-term commitment; the program includes an all-inclusive service with 24/7 maintenance, insurance and assistance, all at one price. Cars will be delivered to the customer’s door.

Free2move added that its Austin vehicle fleet will grow to 150 units in the coming weeks.

The company mentioned that 72% of Free2move customers are under 40 and 52% of Free2move customers use the service multiple times per month.

“Free2move is known for the simplicity of its service and its ability to meet the needs of its customers,” the company said. “With over 50,000 university students in the Austin area, the Free2move customer base in this market is impressive. “

Now, with Austin, Free2move services are available in Denver, Portland, Oregon and Washington DC

In addition to B2C services, Free2move offers companies special offers including promo codes to encourage employees to use the new mobility solution.
