“Hope we have something for everyone,” says market organizer – Aldergrove Star

Cars can steal most of the attention when it comes to the Langley Good Times cruise, but much of the weekend buzz and excitement can be found in the market as well.

An annual meeting place for enthusiasts and passers-by who want to shop and connect, the market was a side attraction tucked away in another location and all the vendors, sponsors and kiosks were running along the center of Fraser Highway in 2019.

Vicki Krickemeyer is in charge of the Langley Good Times Cruise-In market and confirmed vendors will be back for 2021 – and they will be in the center of Main Street.

“We’re always trying to think of better ways for our suppliers and attendees, as well as attendees, to have the best show,” said Krickemeyer. “Having salespeople among the cars is better for everyone. “

Vehicles will surround the market this year, meaning visitors won’t have to travel far to shop and see some great rides.

The organizers hope to have around 25 to 30 vendors. They will have merchandise ranging from garage neon lights to clothing, even signs for all car enthusiasts, wheels and countless car and truck accessories.

“There is also a supplier that makes custom wood panels,” Krickemeyer pointed out, “as well as custom home renovations and garage doors.”

Nor will everything be focused on revving up male engines; the organizer noted that this year’s Cruise-In will also have a few vendors specifically for women.

“I believe salespeople bring a bit for everyone, from car guys to people who like to decorate their garage, like my husband. Also, some cool ideas if you’re starting your own hot rod or even your everyday streetcar, ”Krickemeyer added. “I hope we have something for everyone.”

If anyone has any questions or is interested in becoming a supplier, people can email [email protected] “I will be happy to answer any questions,” she said.

The market has often been described as a “generator of funds” by former organizers.

Each vendor pays for the space, all of that money in turn donated to local charities, along with the income from various raffles and additional content taking place at many booths.

The Langley Good Times Cruise-In Market is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. – along the Fraser Freeway, starting just east of 264th Street – where all the action begins.
