How to save your game

Saving your game in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is essential if you don’t plan to beat everything in one go (not recommended). In addition, saving regularly is a good habit to take in whatever game you are playing, just in case of an unexpected system or game crash causing you to lose hours of progress. In this guide we will explain to you save at Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

Save your game in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Rift Apart uses an autosave feature to record your progress throughout the game. This usually begins immediately after cutscenes, whenever you cross a dimensional rift or reach other checkpoints in a level.

You will know when the game is saved as an icon will briefly appear in the lower right corner of the screen.

Can you register manually?

Unfortunately no, Rift Apart does not allow you to manually save your game at any time for its duration.

Are there multiple save locations?

Yes. When players go to load their game, they will have the choice of loading saved data from multiple slots, filled with autosave data. This does not mean that you can choose to automatically save in certain locations.

This means you can quickly go back to a previous save to grab a trophy or just repeat a particularly enjoyable section of the game. It’s a handy option to have, to say the least.
