Kia Seltos is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in the segment and it competes with the recently launched Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. Since its launch in 2019, Kia Seltos has been a successful product for Kia in the Indian market. It was also the first Kia product to be officially launched in the Indian market. We have seen several videos and images of modified Kia Seltos from different parts of the country. Just like Creta, people started buying the base Seltos variant and converting it to a premium version. Here we have such a video where a base HTE model from Seltos is modified to look like a GT Line.
The video was posted by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. The video begins by showing the Seltos as he arrives at the workshop. It was the base HTE variant that came with steel rims, base grille, single projector headlights and other features.
At Vig Auto Accessories, the car has been completely transformed into a premium GT Line version. Starting from the front, the grille of the base variant was replaced by the premium version. The chrome trim on the upper and lower parts of the grille was also installed. Headlights and turn signals were also replaced with full LED units. LED DRLs extending to the grille were also installed. The front bumper on this Seltos has not been replaced, but now comes equipped with ice cube-shaped LED fog lights.
As for the side profile, the car receives 17-inch GT Line alloy rims, chrome door handles, door visors, roof rails, lower window trim and electrically adjustable ORVMs. An LED indicator is also integrated there. The original position of the turn signal in the basic variant is on the fender and which has now been closed with the help of a false vent finished in chrome.
At the rear, the halogen taillights are replaced by high-end LED units. The chrome applique passing between the lights has also been replaced. It also receives a shark fin antenna and roof mounted spoiler. The rear bumper of this SUV remains the same as before.
Inside, the owner has opted for several customizations. All doors benefit from internal and external cushioning for improved NVH levels. The cloth seats are now covered in a bespoke black and red upholstery which gives them a sporty look. The steering and seats all follow a common theme of black with red stitching. The gear knob has been replaced, an aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system has been installed with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, audio control switches on the steering have been installed, a wireless phone charger, floor mats and other accessories.
Overall the car looks pretty neat and determining the trim level just by looking at the car is going to be a challenge for many. Kia Seltos is available in three engine options. A 1.5-liter petrol engine, 1.5-liter diesel and a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine are offered. All of these engines come with manual and automatic transmission options.
