Lucid Promotes Faisal Sultan to Vice President and General Manager of Lucid Middle East as it Opens its First Studio in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, October 24, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID), setting new standards with the longest and fastest electric car on the market with the award-winning Lucid Air, today announced the promotion of Faisal Sultan to the Vice President and General Manager of Lucid Middle East, reporting directly to Pierre Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid. Mr. Sultan joined Lucid in 2019 and has since led major initiatives for the company in the region, including guiding the contract to build the factory in Saudi Arabiadeveloping sales and service plans, negotiating the purchase of a fleet of up to 100,000 vehicles by the Government of Saudi Arabia over a ten-year period, managing relationships with key partners, suppliers and government officials, and leading the opening this week of the company’s first studio in the Middle East in Riyadh.

Mr. Sultan has 23 years of combined automotive industry experience at Lucid, Industrial Clusters, FCA, Magna, Ford and GM, where he held leadership positions spanning industrial development, manufacturing, operations, engineering and program management. He also has global experience that spans across North America, Asia, Europeand Australia.

Prior to joining Lucid, Faisal served as Senior Director, Automotive for Industrial Clusters at Saudi Arabia Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources. There, he led the team that developed and implemented the automotive development policy for the country’s automotive manufacturing localization, supply chain development and human resource capabilities. Faisal holds an MBA from New York Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in automotive engineering from Lawrence University of Technology.
