Porsche Design adds high-end hotels to its portfolio

We’ve seen Porsche create something other than cars under the name Porsche Design before. We’ve seen the brand making sneakers or even fancy laptops with a carbon fiber cover, but this latest venture is possibly the German brand’s biggest project to date outside of car manufacturing.

Deutsche Hospitality and the Porsche Design Group join forces to present the Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels brand. The new hotel brand plans to build upscale hotels in major cities around the world, with a new hotel concept in the luxury lifestyle segment.

It should be noted that this differs from the Porsche Design Tower erected in Miami. The luxury residential skyscraper was designed by Sieger Suarez Architects and uniquely marked by Porsche Design.

This time around it looks like a full collaboration between Steigenberger and Porsche Design which aims to “bring design, technology and lifestyle together at the highest level”. Steigenberger has a history stretching back over 90 years.

That said, the Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels brand wants to use a unique brand experience, derived from the design philosophy of the Porsche Design lifestyle brand, to be seen outside and inside hotels, while Steigenberger will bring his deep experience and touted excellence to the table.

Porsche said investor interest in Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels is “considerable”. taking locations, the statement said.

The Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels will offer at least 150 rooms, suites and penthouses. Restaurant and bar concepts are also offered, as well as exclusive Meet & Greet Cubes, a health and beauty center and a gym with a huge floor space.
